Fighting-styles of the Shimoro

Ju-Jutsu/Judo: Ju-Jutsu is Shimoro's main bare-hand fighting style. It contains Atemi's(kicks, punches, elbows, knees etc.), garami's/gatami's(arm-locks, leg-locks, neck-locks, finger-locks, wrist-locks etc.), throws and ways to strangle. This is also the style where you learn how to fight against someone with a weapon if you are unarmed.
Kendo/Ken-Jutsu: This is Shimoro's main fighting style. Kendo means "The Way Of The Sword". A Shimoro preferes to fight with a sword then to fight unarmed. This is because it seemed in feodal Japan, a very fast weapon, a very deadly weapon, a short weapon and of course it will never be empty like a gun.
Aikido/Aiki-Jutsu: Aikido is much like Ju-Jutsu, but a bit softer to the enemy. For a Shimoro it is important to generally make piece with an enemy, cause not always is the enemy a real enemy, like a policeman. So with Aikido the Shimoro will not harm the enemy.
Kyudo: This means "The Way Of The Bow". This fighting style isn't very important in this period of time, but in time of feodal Japan it was. Sometimes a Shimoro will find this weapon and he will use it if necessairy.
Ninjutsu: Is the style of the ninja. It is like Ju-Jutsu but it has also the shadows and the sneaky attacks to use to defeat the enemy and acrobatic moves to move over, under, through obstacles.

Karate: Karate is less important for a Shimoro then Ju-Jutsu. Ju-Jutsu has much of this style(but not all). For a Shimoro it often is necessairy to keep his enemy from moving and then use his dagger-burner to burn a sign on the head of the enemy. Grabbling is not the Karate way, but it's a very good fighting-method.
